At ZETA we work with many different projects both small scale and big scale. Whether it is a small extension to a house or it is a big urban plan we always focus on finding the solution that is just right for the specific place and the specific needs of the project and client. Recently we completed the design proposal for a new single-family house in Saltangará where the main focus was on a close integration between the surrounding landscape and the house itself. We called the result Stones in Landscape. The new house sits like 2 overlapping stones nestled in a rough and wild landscape known from the Faroese mountainside. A traditional Faroese grass roof combined with reuse of rainwater contributes to the integration of house and landscape while the warm and organic interior of the house creates a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for the family.
